Delwayne Delaney

Project Officer - Small Business Development Center (SBDC St. Kitts)

Delwayne Delaney a resident of Conaree Village has a passion for young people and youth development. Mr. Delaney graduated in 1999 from the Basseterre High School then went on to further his education in Texas at the Texas Christian University.

Upon graduating in 2007 with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing he then returned home to serve.

Mr. Delaney is presently employed in the Ministry of Trade et al…at the Small Business Development Center (SBDC St. Kitts) where his post is Project Officer for 13 years. SBDC St. Kitts is devoted to the SME sector with regards to technical assistance.

Mr. Delaney presently holds the position of president of the Sol Island Auto Conaree Football Club and president of the St. Kitts and Nevis Athletics.

Mr. Delaney has an extensive record representing the Federation in track and field which has led Silver medal at the Pan American Games and Bronze medal at the World Championship. Mr. Delaney was also a member of the Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games, CAC Games, NACAC Games and OECS Championship teams.

In 2019 Mr. Delaney birthed the S.E.L.F. project, Seeing Everyone Life Family.

This program to date has led on numerous initiatives, namely, Back
to School Fair, Conaree Community Clean Up, Grassroots Program, Dominica Food Donation Drive, Bummers Hard Court Memorial, Bahamas Donation Drive, Black History Month Community Celebration, Computer Classes and Food Program for the less fortunate.

Mr. Delaney,s rapport within sports, regionally and internationally extends to his time of training in the US and Jamaica with the Usain Bolt's camp.

Mr. Delaney at this particular forum qualifies not only as a sports figure but administratively within his line of work.
