Kern George

Kern George was born and raised in the community of Maloney Gardens. He excelled in the field of basketball as a player and now the U1 Head7 Men's National Coach. As a player he captained the Trinidad and Tobago Men's Basketball team and received an athletic scholarship at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. He graduated with honors achieving a bachelor degree in education and a bachelor degree in Sport for development. He then obtained an academic scholarship to the University of Wisconsin Lacrosse where he graduated with honors receiving a Masters in Exercise and Sport Science.

Returning to his homeland in 2014 he started a basketball Academy named Stories of Success Basketball Academy for young people teaching them to be responsible citizens through the game of basketball. Now called New Chapter Global Sport Academy, George intends to do more than just use basketball but sport as a social tool to introduce Godly values to many young men and women in Trinidad and Tobago, the Caribbean and the world at large.
