Premnath Balgobin
Mr. Premnath Balgobin is a Youth Camp Director I at the Persto Praesto Youth Development and Apprenticeship Centre formally known as the National Youth Camp of Trinidad and Tobago. Other government institutions of employment include the Chatham, Mt. St. George (Tobago), and Chaguaramas Youth Camps and the St. Michael’s School for Boys, Diego Martin.
At these institutions Mr. Balgobin co-ordinated the sporting programmes and activities. He competed in basketball games in the North Western and Eastern Basketball Association League Competitions. His success as a player and coach in various sporting disciplines afforded him the opportunity to serve on several associations such as The Trinidad and Tobago School Basketball Association and the North Western Basketball Association.
He was also part of the Trinidad and Tobago contingent in the Sixth and Seventh Biennial Caribbean Union Teachers and Student Track & Field Championship in Barbados and St. Vincent. He founded the Sangre Grande All Stars Sports Academy. Mr Balgobin is a proud product of the Chatham Youth Camp.
